Available Cats

Peaches – Tag# 15741

Peaches is a 1 and a half year old DSH. She is very friendly and talkative but does not do well with other cats. She would do better in a home with older children that can give her space when she needs it. She is litter box trained, microchipped, and up to date on all shots.

Oscar – Tag# 15745

Oscar is a 9 year old DSH. He is outgoing, but laid back and loving. He likes having his ears scratched, and getting love and attention. He does not mind being around other cats. He is microchipped, up to date on all shots, and litter box trained.

Bella – Tag# 15696

Bella is a 7 year old DSH. She is picky with her people but enjoys getting attention. She does okay with other cats but would do best in an only pet household. She does not like being picked up but loves being pet on the head. She is litter box trained, microchipped, and up to date on all shots.

Aurora – Tag #15703

Aurora is a 3 and a half year old DSH. She is friendly, but quiet and a little shy at first. When you pet her she warms up immediately. She has never lived with any other animals, and needs to be in home with no children, (surrendered because not good with 7 year old child). She is litter box trained, microchipped, and up to date on all shots.

Donations & Fundraising

By contributing to the AAL, you will become part of an organization dedicated to helping those animals that have nowhere else to go. The shelter provides animals with shots, food, medical attention, and every animal is spayed or neutered before it is adopted out.

We have one of the cleanest, well-run kennels in Virginia, and the best part is this: We keep the pets until they find homes. Where some 80% of animals die in other shelters, more than 90% of the animals taken in by the AAL find homes. We have no deadlines here.

Your contribution, regardless of the amount, helps the AAL give animals the proper care and attention they need and deserve. Imagine what that means to the animals: no more eating from trash piles, no more shivering in the cold rain, and best of all it means never being alone and afraid, ever again.
